The Milwaukee Brewers completed a four-game sweep of the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Championship Series, winning Game 4 by a 6-4 score, according to kunc.org and wvtf.org. This victory ended the Dodgers' pursuit of a third consecutive World Series title, a feat not accomplished by a National League team.

The Brewers were propelled by a strong bullpen and timely comebacks. Garrett Mitchell hit a go-ahead home run in the sixth inning, and David Hamilton added a two-run solo homer in the ninth inning off Dodgers reliever Edwin Díaz. Hamilton had only four home runs during the regular season. Aaron Ashby closed out the game with three scoreless innings to secure the save.

The Dodgers initially took a 4-0 lead in the second inning, aided by Shohei Ohtani's first home run of the postseason. Despite the early deficit, the Brewers rallied and maintained their momentum throughout the series.

Milwaukee's manager Pat Murphy emphasized the team's hunger and determination to win on an even playing field. Brewers captain Christian Yelich noted the team's confidence in their comeback during Game 4. The Brewers topped the majors with 103 regular-season wins and now advance to the World Series for the first time since 1982, when the franchise was in the American League.

The Brewers will have a week off before hosting the winner of the American League Championship Series between Cleveland and Tampa Bay in the World Series opener on October 23. Garrett Mitchell expressed excitement about playing more games and celebrating with fans at home.

The sweep marks Milwaukee's first National League pennant and second overall, with their only previous World Series appearance resulting in a seven-game loss to the St. Louis Cardinals in 1982, according to kunc.org and wvtf.org.
