A Red Flag Warning has been issued for parts of Southern California due to increased fire danger from strong Santa Ana winds. According to the National Weather Service, winds could reach speeds of 20 to 40 mph, with gusts potentially hitting 50 to 70 mph. The strongest winds are expected from Thursday afternoon through Friday afternoon.

Dangerous fire conditions are anticipated to persist until 8 p.m. Saturday in Los Angeles and Ventura counties. As a precaution, Public Safety Power Shutoffs are in effect for thousands in the region, according to KTLA 5.
