The San Jose Sharks secured a 3-2 victory over the Nashville Predators in a shootout on Thursday night, according to ABC7 News. Macklin Celebrini scored the only shootout goal, lifting the Sharks to the win and ending their two-game losing streak.

San Jose's Mason Marchment and Will Smith scored during regulation, while Alex Nedeljkovic made 33 saves to help the Sharks. Nedeljkovic has won both of his starts this season. For Nashville, Ryan O'Reilly and Steven Stamkos scored, with Juuse Saros making 30 saves. Saros has a strong career record against San Jose but the Predators lost their third straight game.

Marchment opened the scoring early in the first period, assisted by Tyler Toffoli. Smith extended the lead in the third period, but O'Reilly and Stamkos scored late to tie the game and force overtime. Stamkos tied the game with just 0.8 seconds left in regulation.

In overtime, both goaltenders made key saves, including Nedeljkovic stopping a one-timer from Roman Josi with nine seconds left. Celebrini then scored the shootout winner with a wrist shot on the glove side, securing the Sharks' victory. All four Sharks wins this season have come beyond regulation time.
