Families across Southern California, including those in San Diego, came together on the evening of October 15th to participate in the International Wave of Light, a global event honoring babies and children who passed away prematurely, FOX 5 San Diego reported.

Candlelight gatherings were held in various locations such as La Jolla Shores, Temecula, and Victorville, providing a space for families to remember and support one another through shared experiences of pregnancy, infant, or child loss.

The event is part of a worldwide effort to raise awareness and offer comfort to those affected by such losses, connecting communities through simultaneous remembrance ceremonies.

This annual observance allows families to publicly honor their children and find solace among others who understand their grief, fostering a sense of unity and healing.
