A car crashed into the Tattletales Learning Center daycare in Pine Hills, Florida, injuring three children and two adults, according to Fox 35 Orlando and the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP). The incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. when a 71-year-old man driving a 2003 Honda CR-V lost control and veered off the road, crashing into the facility.

Among those injured were the driver and an instructor inside the daycare. Nichol Stratman, battalion chief with Orange County Fire Rescue, said all five individuals are expected to recover, though one child sustained more serious injuries.

At the time of the crash, 14 people were inside the building, but some were in a different room than the one impacted by the vehicle, which may have limited injuries. Due to the damage, the Orange County Building Department has denied occupancy of the building, temporarily closing the daycare.

The FHP has declared the scene active and is conducting an ongoing investigation to determine the cause of the crash. The daycare has served the community for more than 25 years, providing care and learning opportunities for children aged 6 weeks to 12 years.
