National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Washington DC and surrounding counties in Maryland and Virginia until 8 PM.

The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for the District of Columbia and surrounding counties in Maryland and Virginia until 8 PM this evening, according to NWS Baltimore MD/Washington DC.

The watch covers Washington DC, 16 counties in Maryland including Anne Arundel, Howard, Montgomery, and Prince Georges, as well as 25 counties in Virginia such as the City of Fredericksburg and others.
