An airstrike in Yemen's southwestern province of Dhamar killed three children and wounded more than a dozen others, according to the Houthi-run health ministry, as reported by WTOP. The strike hit houses in al-Ar village in the Dawran Aness district. The Iranian-backed Houthi rebels blamed Saudi Arabia for the attack, which occurred amid intensified fighting between the Houthis and Saudi-led forces. Saudi Arabia has not commented on the incident.

The children killed were aged 8 and 10, and they are among 124 people reported killed in Houthi-controlled territories since fighting resumed in September, according to the ministry.

Separately, a Washington Post photographer, Heidi Levine, is undergoing surgery after being attacked by Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank. Her daughter told The Associated Press that Levine's finger was nearly severed, with visible tendon damage, and she also suffered a broken rib, multiple broken vertebrae, and lacerations. The attack took place amid a surge in settler violence during the West Bank's olive harvest season.

Levine was reportedly beaten for about ten minutes while trying to protect her cameras and belongings. Her helmet and protective vest marked 'PRESS' likely prevented more severe injuries. Israeli settlers also set fire to cars and trees and assaulted residents in Palestinian villages, according to WTOP. The violence has increased ahead of Israel's October 27 election, with Israeli authorities taking limited action to prevent such attacks.
