Periods of steady rain and gusty winds expected in Richmond Saturday
Richmond faces a wet and cool Saturday morning with winds gusting over 30 mph, followed by clearing skies and colder Sunday morning.
WTVR CBS 6 reported that Richmond will experience periods of steady rain during the first half of Saturday, with temperatures dropping into the upper 40s and lower 50s as the morning progresses.
Winds gusting over 30 mph are expected in some areas, contributing to the cooler and soggy conditions. Around noon, rain will become more scattered and clouds will begin to decrease from the northwest during the afternoon.
Temperatures will rise slightly into the mid 50s later Saturday, with skies clearing overnight. Sunday morning will be cold, with lows ranging from the mid 30s to lower 40s, and some frost possible though winds near or above 10 mph may limit widespread frost.
The week ahead is expected to be mostly dry for Richmond, as a low-pressure system off the Mid Atlantic coast remains offshore. However, breezy conditions will persist near the coast, and a coastal flood watch is in effect for southeastern Virginia, though this does not directly affect Richmond.
High temperatures for the upcoming week will range from the mid 60s to lower 70s, with overnight lows mainly in the 40s, according to WTVR CBS 6.
